sinjin, I think I’d have to reject your request even if it weren’t for Oredigger’s interjection. If you had the rule, there’d be no problem with you offering a look at it as a good faith gesture. Without it, I think that you need to find something that can be traded back for it in return.
I don’t stand as intermediary for any communication involving rules not held either - that would lend it the impression of an authorized communique.

Hmm… no, sorry, I think the phrasing was pushing it too far. Offering to tell him just what another player needs to know about a rule is too much like asking for outright permission to tell them something you think they need to know - in other words, to discuss strategy privately.
However, if you offered to give the full text of the rule for that copper piece, it would be a legal offer. (Regardless of AT’s need to know or the lack of it.)

So basically there is no difference between having a scroll to show or not having the scroll?

Having the scroll to show means that you have verified information to trade or give away - it’s the power of the printed word. That’s why I send the PMs out myself or verify them if you send them out before I show up.
If you don’t have the scroll, then all you have to offer in trade is hearsay - somebody else can buy, but they’re trusting in your reputation. I won’t insist that you PM them the true rule, and everybody should bear that in mind.
