Haha- fuck you Oafrah!

I set em up, you knock em down.

I don’t give a shit about Oprah but I know she is doing more to help disadvantaged kids in Africa than you or I. So what if she braggs about it or makes it seem like she is more involved than she is. At least she is doing something positive.

And what about the fact that these kids have been beaten and molested, and Oafrah offers an (on camera) I’m sorry, I’m so sorry? That’s what you say when you run out of snickerdoodles at the school bake sale. Why not turn the fucking cameras off and take care of things? Oafrah apologized for my kid being beaten and molested! All is well! No need for years of therapy, Oafrah’s apology cures all!

Assuming that’s a good faith question, I will answer accordingly and assume you’ll respond likewise: You have asserted, but not established, how she’s “fronting” like she’s on top of the daily events.

well, since you ‘seriously’ haven’t provided that Oprah did, indeed “front” like she was “on top of the daily events”, that’s where I would point out your error.

edited to add additional curses and shaking of fists.

Molestation- what a positive! How downtrodden I should feel, as I have never experienenced that “postiive”.

I (and many of you here I’m sure) have seen her on her show prattle on about it. I don’t videotape it, so its hard to find video, but its out there, I’ll find it.

How about for starters- “these are my girls they call me mama Oafrah”- doesn’t that imply to anyone that she is fronting involvement?

Not at all. In fact, the very post you’re responding to refutes that preception, as you might have noticed if you were not a drooling moron. If I might direct your attention to the first sentence of that paragraph, I specifically addressed my questions to Diogenes, because he appears to hold the same position that you do, while at the same time being someone whose intelligence and perception I generally esteem.

Bored at work. But hey, if there’s any specific part of the time line I outlined there that you disagree with, feel free to highlight it for the rest of us, and explain why it is unreasonable or far-fetched. We could all use a good laugh, I am sure.

So I can respond now, because you have directed this at me? Groovy. I will try and not ruin this valued chance to interact with you.

For starters how is it that you are able to represent as factual the hiring process of the staff, as well as the thought process behind it?

What should Oprah do to “take care of things?” She fired the accused teacher. She fired the incompetent administrator who didn’t respond to the initial accusations. She fired some other teacher for some reason that’s not clear in the article to which you linked. She publically apologized for the collossal fuck-up at the school bearing her name. What else do you want from her?

Blood, apparently…

That and some thorazine…

to admit that contrary to what she represented, in light of these events she couldn’t possibly have more than the slighest connection to the events at the school. And to pay several mil in damages.

Are you contending that Oprah deliberatly hired someone she knew would ignore accusations of assault and sexual impropriety at a school bearing Oprah’s name? Why would she do that?

If she “couldn’t possibly have more than the slightest connection to the events at the school,” why should she pay several million in damages for what happened?

Her names on the sign out front and her pockets are the deepest- thats the way it is. My kid does damage at school I have to pay- similar thing here.

Might as well give it up, Miller; you’d have better luck trying to reason with a petulant two-year-old.

[voice of Wee Bairn]Thank’s ETF! [/voice]

petulant- is that good or bad?

What if it turns out the schoolmarm had a history of abuse and no one bothered to check? What would the Oafrah defenders say then? Because for all anyone here knows, that’s a possibility.

see, if that had happened, this would be an appropriate rant vs. the bullshit you’ve concocted. Oprah’s not being defended (really) as much as you’re being lambasted.

So, she doesn’t have any connection to the school, but she’s fully responsible for whatever happens there, because the school’s named after her, and she has a lot of money.

By this logic, if I hurt myself at the John Wayne Airport, I have legal standing to sue his estate. It’s his name on the building, and all those Westerns and war movies still generate a lot of revenue, and that’s all that matters, right?
