Half-forgotten song - please help

I would be crushed if I can’t track this song down. I heard it on the radio the other day and tried to look it up later but wasn’t able to remember it well enough to turn anything up.

It is very slow, a female vocalist with a low voice (and I think a male accompaniment) and a cello, very haunting. There’s an often repeated line in the chorus that goes something like: “we were driving in circles in a parking lot in my dreams”.

Can anyone help me?

One of my favorite tricks for looking up songs I’ve heard is to google the word lyric followed by a distinctive snippet of the lyric (in quotation marks). “we were driving in circles in a parking lot in my dreams” doesn’t turn up anything, though.

Haven’t heard the song, but these lyrics sound similar (Lisa Hannigan, “Your Ghost”).

Here’s the video. This has got to be it, right?

Yes! That’s it! Thank you so much!!

I believe this is originally by Kristin Hersh.
