Half Life Question/Help

Do we have any half life players out there? The boys at work and I have been playing a little Half-Life at work, and enjoying the fine assortment of characters you can download off the 'net. We had a particularly satisfying match last Friday between Gumby, a Leggo man, and Santa Claus to name a few.

Here’s my question. We want to put our own faces on some of the models. We’re not concerned about creating a whole new skin, just the face part. Anyone have any insight on this, or can anyone point me to an editor that they like particularly well for this purpose?

This site is one of the best for custom models for Half-Life. You should be able to find some sort of help here.

If you want to put your face on the model, I would suppose that you would need to find a program that creates these models so you can see the skin as a bitmap or whatever is used. Then, just open up Photoshop or something, copy a pic of your face, edit its size to fit properly on the skin and paste it on. Save and reskin the model w/ the new one and it should work and look okay.
