I’m semi-kind of intrigued by the movie Derailed, but only because I’ve got kind of a crush on both of the leads. I’ve only read two reviews; both mention the “big twist,” and one says that the twist is completely predictable.
Just based on the premise, my guess is:
The rapist is actually Anniston’s husband/lover, and they’re conning Owen’s character.
Am I right? If not, I might check out the movie, bad or no. If I am right, I won’t bother.
You are completely right. There is one more twist at the end which is interesting, and the way in which the hero overcomes his obstacles is also interesting. I would still see it if I were you.
Hope this is not too late for you. I just saw the movie yesterday, and I thought it was entertaining.
You got it right, but I have to disagree with rpinrd - I thought it sucked horribly. The “twists” were obviously thrown in just to fit convention. The fact that you figured it out without even seeing the movie is more proof of how hackneyed it is. Which is a shame, because I like Clive Owen. But definitely don’t waste money seeing it in the theater.
