I went to the website for The Little Rascals; one item on the home page is that Hallmark Cards has bought up the Little Rascals/Our Gang videos and removed them from retail stores! This is worse than the urban legend that Bill Cosby bought them up.
Well, you can’t watch Little Rascals videos in Hallmark’s greeting cards…sounds like the company has a dog-in-the-manger attitude.
And your question is…
Gypsy: Tom, I don’t get you.
Tom Servo: Nobody does. I’m the wind, baby.
Oh, what the heck. Before moving this one to MPSIMS, here’s a link to the information in the OP. According to the site, Hallmark bought the video company that had rights to the Our Gang videos and has stopped distribution, at least for now.

This has happened a number of times.
Blackhawk had the rights for years, then were bought out, and the new owners dropped the rights.
Cabin Fever had the rights a few years ago, and the same thing happened.
They’ll show up again.
And even if they don’t, I know people who’ve been known to make copies for no charge.
Touche, Mjollnir.
I sometimes wonder which is worse: video piracy or corporate pillage.
I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for Hallmark to release any Our Gang videos. Hallmark seems to enjoy buying up rights to videos and then just sitting on them. They also hold the rights to the Masters of the Universe cartoon (He-Man!) and they refuse to release them.
All is not lost for Our Gang fans, though. Ebay has several auctions up selling the entire 21 tape Little Rascals collection originally distributed by Cabin Fever. You can usually get them for around $100. Quite a bargain at less than $5 a tape!
This morning I went to Suncoast Video in the Del Amo Mall in Torrance, Los Angeles County, CA. They said that Hallmark has its own video company, and perhaps the Our Gang videos will be released through that company. If not, Hallmark IS a dog-in-the-manger.
