After blowing through it on Normal, I’ve been working on Legendary in the last week or so. I tell ya, if you really want your money’s worth, try and beat the game solo on Legendary. You can’t just mow down everyone like you do on Normal or even Legendary co-op. It adds so much tactical depth.
There are areas (any scarab fight, for example) where you must be absolutely perfect in order to advance. You gotta snipe those jackals, stick two ghosts, steal the chopper, splatter the brute who’s wielding a fuel rod cannon, all in that order, and then you can move along and start working on the wraith who’s covered by two more ghosts, several brutes and a turret. (Fortunately, in the part I’m talking about, you can park a warthog under a rock formation and take out the wraith, whose shots all land on the rocks over your head.)
And while the Covenant battles get so much more intense, the Flood battles don’t get too much worse. I hate fighting the Flood, so I consider this a big plus.
