As noted, ham freezes quite well. We keep ham steaks in the freezer all the time for a quick to defrost meal option.
There really isn’t anything that won’t work well with ham - well, within reason. Its a great addition to stir fry, various packaged rice dishes and potato dishes, soups and a lot of things. When we can get a quantity cheap, we usually slice/dice some different ways and freeze it ready to add to whatever.
