I just heard about another friend affected by layoffs, and one of my favorite friend’s cancer has returned, and who fricking knows if Obama’s stimulus package (or any particular fix) is going to work.
So I was cleaning out the hall closet and thinking about these things when I found some bunting I used last 4th of July.
It occurred to me, this would be a GREAT time for us to display a sign of hopefulness.
So, I suggest to you, go hang a flag! Anything jaunty with stars and stripes will do.
And if it clashes with your Christmas lights don’t fret nobody will care.
Is it OK if I hang a heart on my door instead? No nearby bunting or flag. Also, the heart is already there.
I have to confess that it’s actually left over from Christmas, but the writing on it is small enough that I’m sure anyone looking at it from the street will think it’s a Valentine.
Had the same thought yesterday. Today I’m buying the brackets and everything I need to display a flag outside my store. I was thinking I’d start flying it on the 20th.
