Happy 100th Birthday, Sir David Attenborough!

Thank you, Sir, for all your very informative and amazing nature documentaries!

One of my favorite bits, about the lyre bird, was so iconic that parodies were made, one that I missed was made for his 90th birthday by Aardman animation (the creators of Wallace and Gromit).

Any more favorite bits and congratulations?

Me too. Love that man. I just watched him on PBS last night I think. It was about the making of his “Life on Earth”.

Very good snippets. I wish they replay the episodes as aired. Long ago.

Top 10 David Attenborough Moments

We don’t deserve Jimmy Carter, Dick Van Dyke, and David Attenborough living to 100. Great men.

I have his autobiography, Life On Air, and even though it’s 80% about his nature documentaries, the parts that aren’t (like when he was Controller of BBC2) are really fascinating.

Got to say, he’s in pretty amazing shape for 100. Still walking, working and seemingly enjoying life.

I can’t even single out a favourite bit really, there’s just so much…

He reminds me of Art Linkletter. When asked about his age, he said a big part of it is getting lucky with your knees and hips. Linkletter took up skiing at 70 because his knees were still doing well. Neither knees nor hips gave out on him so he could do active stuff.

David looks pretty similar. To be up and about at 100 is terrific.

My Dad turns 80 in a couple days. He’s still active as well.
