Okay, folks, Dark Lords are not supposed to tear up at work.
Thank you all for the kind wishes. Yet another reminder of why this is my favorite site on the Web.

Well, if you pronounce it “tear” as in “rip to shreds”, it still fits the Dark Lord image.
When I first read your sentence, that’s how I heard it in my head. I had to read it again before I figured out you were crying like a sissy boy.

Happy day of birth, Sauron!
Only, when I started reading the OP, I’d just been rereading Fellowship of the Ring.
I was very, very confused for a fleeting moment.
But that was very sweet. Aaaawwwwwww…
“Sissy boy”? “SISSY BOY”?
I’ll have you know I was crying manly, testosterone-laden tears, the kind that real men shed. Ollie North-type, Marine-style eye glistenings.
“Sissy boy.” Hmph.
NinjaChick: J.R.R. was a dear man, really, but he got certain aspects of my personality wrong. And he completely misrepresented who should have won the War of the Ring.
Just think how much easier your life would be, if you had your own personal Orc to help … uh … guide you.
Oh. Okay.
Would that be like the tears shed at the end of Old Yeller and such?
I’m glad we got that cleared up.
I suspect that I’m a day late and a dollar short but Happy Belated!
No, I think his birthday is today (July 2)… correct me if I’m wrong.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SAURON!!!
Approximate Phonetic Chinese Version of “Happy Birthday”: (thanks, Nathan!)
“Guung juuk nay fook sow yuen teen tsai, hing hong nay sun sun fie lok. Leen leen doe yao gum yut, suuy doe yao gum jzew, guung hay nay! Guung hay nay!!!”
Approximate English Translation of Above:
“Congrats on this good day of fortune, where we can all gather together. Wishing you a very happy birthday. Every year, this wondrous day arrives; Always, this wondrous time comes. Congratulations! Congratulations!”
Keep the stories coming, and if you don’t like tomatoes… that means there’s more for me.
Here’s another reason to be happy: Vancouver got the 2010 Olympics! Woohoo!

Interesting coincidence – Two weeks ago, I watched that movie for the first time in my life.
July 2 is indeed my special day (although, truthfully, every day with Aries28 is a special day). Thanks again, everyone, for the well-wishes.
Wishing you a great day, a great year and a great life.
Thirty-seven, huh?

Man!
Happy birthday Sauron. That means lizard? Is that a nickname or what your tattoo looks like?
Sadly, kimlittle, I am tattoo-free. Nor, to my knowledge, do I resemble a lizard, although I suppose that’s a matter of opinion and is open to personal interpretation.
Check into the works of J.R.R. Tolkien for an alternate explanation of the source of my screen name.
