Fall is my favorite season of the four. But, it seems too short (the good parts anyway). Also, already feeling the shorter days. I know the dark times are coming and it will be a long time till the light returns.
I am very happily in amongst the southern hemisphere Spring, my favourite time of year, but you are welcome to your orange leafy time.
It seems to have arrived a bit early hereabouts - I’ve had our windows open for days - no need for a/c. But I dread the impending darkness. And then there are the leaves on the lawn (we have a big lawn…)
Still, back to soups for supper and baking without worrying about driving up the electric bill because of the a/c. I may make some cookies today!
Hooray for Equinox.
Here in SoFL that doesn’t herald much change in weather or in daylight. A bit less heat & much less rain and humidity. We can mostly tell it’s Fall because all the license plates starting turning different colors.

I know I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure it’s outstanding in its field.
I’m a summer girl. I am sad that summer is over. I don’t mind the beginning of fall, it’s beautiful and the temps can still be warm for a while. We’re going to have upper 70s this week. We’ve had some pretty cool/cold mornings in the last week or so - 40s. And the worst part of all is that the darkness begins. I have to wear my headlamp and reflector vest when I walk the dogs in the mornings now.
