French national holiday today. Waiting for matt to get in here…
I always loved going down to the Orleans-Olivet bridge over the Loire to watch the Bastille Day fireworks show. I don’t think I’ve been there in the summer for over 10 years now.
Anyway, Chirac had a close call during the parade this morning. Glad to hear nobody was hurt.
Although my heritage is English/Irish/and Scottish, and as an American, I’m completely apothetic towards the French, I must say, I’ve had a pretty wonderful holiday.
Well, aside from the working, a friend of mine cooked a shitload of wonderful amazing food, so during my dinner break, I had a whole bunch of stuff I can’t pronounce, some lamb, chicken, and more wine than I should for someone that had to go back to work after an hour and a half. But free food, good friends, and wine…I never thought I’d say this, but Thank you, France!

I read about it in the paper today Matt. I wonder what he was trying to do with a .22 rifle, scratch Cherac’s clothes? The French can’t do assassinations like us Merikans can!
