Thank you imthjckaz, BooBoo316, TwistofFate (creator of the up in arms spidey), Cajun Man, Simetra, TroubleAgain, Arden Ranger, MsRobyn, Pucette, LNO, screech-owl (Nice hat !) Grace, JimB, vix, Tygr, Anniz, wring, lurkernomore, and Vestal Blue, for the warm wishes!
CajunMan and DrMatrix recommended the book A Confederacy of Dunces, by John Kennedy Toole, and one of my daughters bought it for me for my birthday. And we are going to the Lincoln Depot to eat tonight. It has a model train that runs around a track built on a shelf around the walls.
Your goodness shines through every post you make, and I hope your year brings you all the happiness you deserve. And you deserve a LOT of wonderful things!
We just got back from walking around St. Cloud. We came upon some little boys by the Mississippi who were catching crayfish, and I got to hold one just before they let it go. We also saw a rubber-back turtle sunning itself on a rock.
All in all, it’s been a pretty good birth-day-and-a-half. When you get this old (47), I guess it takes longer to celebrate.
Alas alack,
turn the calendar back!
Methinks I have forgotten,
the day your were begotten.
That said,
There was a young lady named Spider.
Whose posts were sweeter than cider.
All of us at the boards,
were all drunk as lords,
wearing party hats, what a provider!
If anyone asks you which birthday this is, merely reply; “The present one!”
That said, I shall now depart from my regularly scheduled programming and say (in a complete and utterly proper digression);
:o
;j
:wally:
And every other appropriate smiley I can think of.
I am so glad to hear that you are completely occupied at work and at home!
