yesterday (12/22) was my birthday. it didn’t go so well at first. i am now 22, so it isn’t like i expect alot out of birtthdays anymore. i woke up hungover as hell, and nobody so much as wished me a happy birthday. not even my wife. no presents or anything.when my wife dropped me off at work i was thinking about how i was going to put this in the pit. right as i got out of the car, she meekly handed me $15 and told me that it is all she has left (we both just started new jobs, so we have NO money), and she wished me a happy birthday. i was touched. after i got out of the car, i saw my sister coming out of the building i work in (we work for the same company) and she handed me the new depeche mode cd. i’m not a big fan of depeche mode, but what the hell, i was just happy that someone remembered. right when i got inside, a coworker wished me happy birthday (it turns out that it was his birthday too) and my team sang us both “happy birthday”. aside form having to work, the day went pretty well until i got home. this is when things went from OK to great. i walked upstairs to my room (me, my wife and child live with my parents, sister and her daughter) and found a bag in front of my door. i opened it, and to my surprise, my sister had bought me a selection of expensive foreign beer (i love just about any non domestic (aside from the local (utah) brews) beer)! this has been one hell of a birthday.
Add me to the list.
Have a good year, dude.
Well, happy birthday to the both of ya there! You have good birthday company, btw. 12/22 is also the birthday scout 1222, taxicab78 and Pandora. The five of you are doper quintuplets! Before now, I didn’t know any more quints existed beyond my July 29 brother and sister quints.
OOPS! That’s taxi78cab. Now she’s gonna see this and beat me up.
