My favourite director and yours, Anamorphic celebrates a birthday today! Okay, well, it’s officially only still his birthday where he is, but better late than never.
He and I also celebrated our One Year Knowing Each Other Anniversary a few days ago. He was my first, true board friend, and continues to be a very special part of my life. I’m even getting to spend Thanksgiving with him this year. He’s brilliant and talented and sweet and hilarious and his first full-length feature film opens this spring. Did I mention he’s cute, single, and will be a millionaire before the year is out?
:throws confetti, gets some dancing girls, pops champagne, and thwaps herself onna forehead for forgetting:
Happy Birthday Morphy! If ever your casting couch is empty, I will fill it. I will give you your birthday presents in the spring when I buy full-price tickets to your film every day for three weeks. Maybe longer.
Come to Chicago so we can have a MorphyDope for you!
Really, we don’t need to wish him a birthday. Being a big hot shot hollywood director. He has several people who do that for him every day.
Every day is his birthday!
Even so. It is nice to have a real birthday every year or so.
Happy Birthday!
Hey, babe, I’ve got a great script for a solid summer blockbuster. Reluctant hero, dead brother, monster trucks, it’s all good. I’ll have my people call your people.
BOY, talk about yer cause and effect ! Didn’t you USED to be able to do nude scenes, till that day when you hyperextended your elbows??
<-------- Cartooniverse raises eye from extender eyepiece of MovieCam Compact, glances over shoulder. Uh huh…another freakin’ birthday. Meanwhile, we’re TRYING TO DO A SCENE HERE PEOPLE !!! …places eye back to finder, patiently awaits smartslate appearance so he can shoot this puppy and go home.
Happy Birthday, ** Anamorphicat** ( new name. ) Mazel Tov on the feature, I guess this means you are deep into cutting? Great- make sure you give us a title to go find it by?
Thank you for squooshing yourself as far to the right as possible in the limousine, so that my gargantuan body might be able to be properly placed in the seat. Also, thank you for not complaining that I was farting non-stop.
For your birthday, I would give you a hug, but my arms still don’t work right from being crushed together.
And…next time you are in Vancouver shooting a movie, I’ll give you belated birthday ScottiHugs and maybe we can even get some folks together for a PNW DopeFest, whaddya’ think? Same goes for Seattle.
[sub]I don’t suppose it is even REMOTELY possible that you would be shooting a movie in good old Bellingham? ::sigh:: you KNOW how much I hate that drive![/sub]
Aw… thanks, everyone! I didn’t get a bottle of ketchup, like Merc did on his birthday, but it was still a pretty great one. No one grabbed my ass either, come to think of it. Damn, Merc made out so much better than I did! My friend Drew did give me Starfarers Of Catan, the sort-of sequel to Settlers Of Catan, one of my favorite board games. And I got lots of nice wishes from my SD friends!
Those of you with questions about my film… I started a thread about it a while back, while we were filming the thing. I’ve had several people ask me to update the thread and let them know what’s going on. I think I just might have the energy to do that right now, so you can read about it here.
