Happy Doper Milestones thread

Yay Pendgwen!!! So, uh, it hurts when ever I do this. What should I do?

Yay for both Annie and pendgwen!

Don’t do that.

You are GOOD!

You’re board-certified ER doc now. It’s “Don’t do that. That’ll be $1800.”

You should never take medical advise from someone on the internet.

In other words: Keep doing that!

ahem

I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to post to this thread.

I graduated from college today! two-year program, web development… Now I just need to get a job. I have my passport and I’m mobile… Anyone in a warm, dry, inexpensive climate need some web pages?

Congrats, and good luck!
I wasn’t going to bump the thread just for this, but…for the first time in around a decade, my A1c (basically a three month average of blood sugar) is in the normal range. The reference range tops off at 5.6. I tend to be 5.8 or 5.9, and have been tweaking my diet and exercise regime. My GP says if I get two “normal” tests in a row, he’ll take me back to once a year testing instead of every three months.

I’d like to be a little lower still, but I’m pretty happy to have a normal reading.

Former poster Crusoe and I have been together for ten years this year since meeting at a Londope Fest. Yesterday we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary, and our second child is due in two weeks

Second child actually arrived yesterday - a beautiful little brother for our gorgeous girl

Congrats on both happy occasions!

Wonderful!! More Doper babies!! Have you registered this child yet with the SDMB??

reported.

Late acknowledging this but all the best from the other side of the world. Long tme together and a couple of billy tin lids!

And now I can say - Friday was officially my last day! I am finished with school! I am anxiously awaiting the letter confirming my graduation and then, my diploma. Woot!

Way to go !!! May this be the first step on a gratifying path.

WOOT! WOOT! It’s my FOURTH wedding anniversary today! My wonderful spouse ChuckTheMonster surprised me with hidden chocolates: on my computer keyboard; in my bathrobe pocket; on my reading stand next to “my chair”; underneath the romantic card on the breakfast table; and hidden in the folds of the newspaper! Actually, one item was NOT chocolate / it was (chocolate-covered) toffe sprinkled with sea salt

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnd … breakfast itself was buckwheat blueberry pancakes with bourbon barrel Vermont maple syrup … mmm Mmm MMM yum Yum YUM

Yes, we’re going out to dinner tonight, too!

Happy Birthday to me! Had fun at the company picnic, followed by a nice cookout at my sister-in-law’s place, and ending with some Glenmorangie followed by Fishtale Ale’s Smaug Stout.

I posted this in The Great Ongoing General Aviation Thread, but what the heck. I’ll post it here.

I had my Biennial Flight Review this evening. Got signed off, and I’m current. I’m officially a Threat From Above.
