Happy Father's Day to all you Doper fathers

Hug your kids today.

Spend some time with them.

Tell them you love them.

Be a positive influence in their lives.

And have fun.

This will be the first Father’s Day without Pops. Love 'em while you’ve got 'em, folks, and let them know it often.

Our Fathers’ Day is the first Sunday in September.

It’s interesting how different dates have developed in different countries.

My two teenagers aren’t up yet, but we’re heading up to Baltimore for a ball game today. I should call my dad when we get back.

Taiwan celebrates Fathers’ Day on August 8th, a play on the word for father.

But today was a great day. My wife had all day training, so I took the kids bicycling in the park, we had lunch and ice cream and after their naps, we picked up mommy and went out for dinner.

I was talking to my daughter, Beta-chan now five(!) as she helped me hand wash some of her dirty clothes, and asked her what the best thing about today. Her face lite up as she debated between bicycling, climbing on the rocks in the lake in the park, looking at the birds, dinner, and a couple of other things, before deciding the best part was helping daddy wash her socks!

It’s fun being a daddy.
