Today Punxsutawney Phil announced that there will be an early spring. If Global Warming comes to pass will he be out of job because spring will just keep coming earlier?

When Chekhov saw the long winter, he saw a winter bleak and dark and bereft of hope. Yet we know that winter is just another step in the cycle of life. But standing here among the people of Punxsutawney and basking in the warmth of their hearths and hearts, I couldn’t imagine a better fate than a long and lustrous winter.
Wiarton Willie is Canada’s badass groundhog. I’m pretty sure he could kick Punxsutawney Phil’s butt. I’m serious, don’t piss him off. He’s dangerous.
He agrees on the early spring, though. Yay!
I have family up in the Bruce [Peninsula], where Wiarton Willie makes his badass home. so I’ve been by there quite a bit.
Willie actually lives in a modern and stylish condo on the waterfront.
I’m serious. It’s a small brick, glass, and concrete building designed to match nearby town buildings in style. It was built as a donation from the town council or business inprovement association or someone, and it’s next to the library and across from the waterfront park.
Yay!!! I totally didn’t even realize this until right this instant!
