Happy(?) Groundhog Day, y'all

I have a .300H&H with a 4x20 Leopold and a bad temptation to use it. Properly cooked/roasted groundhog (famous or not) can be good eating.

According to Pittsburgh news last night (KDKA I believe), his average is about 85% and usually he picks more winter. They didn’t say if that was regional or national on the accuracy.

Mad Mex is having a Groundhog Day special on drinks, with one special if he sees his shadow, a different one if he doesn’t.

Good evening. Tonight on ‘It’s the Mind’, we examine the phenomenon of déjà vu. That strange feeling we sometimes get that we’ve lived through something before, that what is happening now has already happened.

I’m in Canada! We always have six more weeks of winter! There’s no point to doing this!

The options, as I understand them, are “six more weeks of winter” or “early spring.”

As spring begins about seven weeks after Groundhog Day, I’d say he’s got a track record of 100%*, since the options both mean the same thing.

  • or 0%, depending on how you look at it.

But it doesn’t, unless you’re talking about that whole, silly Spring Equinox thing, which has very little to do with weather patterns.

Definitely not happy about the six more weeks of winter part. :frowning:

My son’s Birthday as well !

All the reports today about Punxsutawney Phil are fake.

His burrow was foreclosed six months ago by the banks.

He’s been living the high life somewhere down south where it’s always sunny and the six week clock resets every morning at sunrise.

So I had an astronomically bad day, I’m going to slice and dice if it starts repeating.
