Happy Hanukkah!

Fried food is the things-- it’s a tribute to oil, is what I’ve always been taught. In my family, the first nights meal was a fried wonder of latkes, pirohies (we always used the Slovak word, not the Polish word) homemade donuts, breaded and fried vegetables and fried chicken. My mother was always compelled to add salad. In my non-meat-eating household, we have mozzarella sticks, and falafel instead of fried chicken.

Both. Is there something wrong with that? If there is, I don’t want to be right.

I use plan yogurt instead of sour cream and applesauce . I don’t make my latkes anymore , I buy them frozen they’re not bad . I heard of people putting ketchup on latkes ! :smack:

We’re having homemade donuts at my house tonight

Do you know anyone who puts applesauce on French fries?

Must be the shape of the fried potatoes.
