Harass Local Muslims in Toronto?

I’m now pissed off enough to start my first Pit thread.

I just heard on CTV Toronto local news that a Hindu temple burned in Hamilton today, and someone damaged a mosque nearby. There have been reports of Canadian Muslims being harassed, threatened, and vandalised.

It was mentioned that, while the TV crew was interviewing people at the mosque, someone driving by slowed and yelled, “Murderers!”

FUCK!!! Ignorant uncivilized subhuman idiotic arsonists, harassers, and vandals!!!

Not that I think they’re thinking rationally or anything, but how the hell is harassing random Muslims going to help end terrorism?

We have hate-crime laws for a reason. These local …persons… who spread division and fear, who encourage hatred of the different, are terrorists as well, and should be brought to justice as quickly and forcefully as the hijackers and their organization.

A former mosque was also burned in Montréal (actually St-Laurent).

Fuck. I was really hoping this wouldn’t happen, but I guess it was inevitable. Like I’ve said before, I desperately wish the costs of ignorance were visible to the ignorant.

Bleah. I was hoping this wouldn’t start, either. I’ve worked with Muslims and Sikhs (another group known for a few radical fanatics), and they were some of the kindest, most giving people I’ve ever met. If we go back far enough in history, we can see that Muslims were living their lives, minding their own business until Christians decided to purge them from the face of the earth (see: “Crusades”).

My philosophy is simple.
