Harrowing news from Salisbury

Dog injures nose. Better remain indoors until this atrocity has been cleared up!

When will these senseless injuries cease?

But how does he smell?!

Terrible!

Who nose where this could lead. I just hope they collared the animal that did this.

In other news February saw traumatic events take place in Norfolk…

Man put melon through ex-partner’s cat-flap

A melon thru the cat flap?
There is a pun in there waiting to be released, but I be damned if I can find it.

Well, the cat flap was damaged in the process and the cat was trapped inside the house. He was planning to run off and start a new life with the saucy tabby from next door, but now

he can’t elope.

Isn’t Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain?
I don’t think this is a coincidence.

Someone should check the Salem, NH news and see if any dogs got hurt near America’s Stonehenge.

…and finally pushed half a melon through her catflap.

So that’s what they’re calling it these days?

Screw Woodward and Bernstein. This stuff is dynamite.

The “Melon thru the cat-flap” case has been cleared up. Here was the clue.

It seems a soggy love-note has since been discovered, and he had just ran out of envelopes.

Well who amongst us hasn’t used a melon as a substitute for an envelope. Gotta make do in a pinch after all!

The lesson being: Don’t post while drunk. Emelontary, dear Watson.

(Apparently, the man had been feeling very meloncholy the night this incident happened.)

It was just his way of asking “honey do you still love me?”

Was the dog a melon Collie, baby?

It’s the other headlines that fascinate me:

#2, 4, 5 & 10 are a soap opera, I tell you!

It was probably a misprint.
