Harry Anderson Dead at 65

No more magic tricks from the bench, it seems.

Shit.
Night Court is one of my all-time favorites.

I loved Harry Anderson. He and John Larroquette made Night Court a great show. RIP.

Ah crap, I forgot he existed. Now that I remember, I’m sads.

Aw man. Harry the Hat was my favorite minor recurring character on Cheers. Loved his stage show too.

Wow, shocking.

:frowning:

Dave’s World was pretty funny, at least to me in my teens. Starting to suffer from Babylon 5 syndrome.

Both Meshach Taylor and Harry Anderson have died under the age of 70. :frowning:

He lived in my town, where I occasionally teach magic tricks to kids. I dreamt of somehow bringing him as a guest to one of my classes. Too late now.

“You know, around here they call me the ‘Magical Magistrate.’”

(aside)“No we don’t, we call him ‘Skinny Butt.’”

“Shh.”

Sad, sad news. Night Court is probably my favorite non-animated sitcom ever.

RIP, Harry. You will be missed.

Only two years older than I am. Shit! :frowning:

Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my! RIP.

How could he possibly be 65?!

Sad news, I concur with others here that Night Court often gets overlooked as one of the great comedy shows.

“You may be younger, you may be faster, you may even be smarter; but you will never, EVER, be crazier than ME.”

Goodbye Judge Stone.

Boo. I loved the show, and liked the man. He will be missed.

Wow, that’s not one I was expecting. I was young enough for Night Court that I can’t really rely on my memories of how good it was, but what I remember was mostly pretty good.

Bummer on two fronts. Sorry to see him go. And I’m 65.

Holy hell, I just mentioned him in the Baker’s Dozen game thread like yesterday. Such a shame.

Best judge ever.

Only because he was the only one at home.

I was in Paul’s Magic & Fun Shop the day Paul hung up on Harry. I liked Mr. Anderson’s show and I loved his stage act, but I had no sympathy for him that day. Still, I could never bring myself to dislike the guy: he was just too ddamned much fun to watch.

RIP Harry.
