I always remember him as being a band member in The Glenn Miller Story with Jimmy Stewart, and as the shady carny in State Fair, who cheats Dick Haymes at a ring-toss game and pisses him off so bad that Dick practices ring-toss all winter in the barn with his mother’s embroidery hoops so he can come back and win the next year. Ha!
I loved Potter’s euphamistic expletives. The way Morgan delivered them was priceless.
it was confusing.
Harry started using a stage name Henry, then Henry Harry then Harry because a humorist was already using Henry as a stage name. Harry will be billed with one of the three names depending on the date, though electronic media that can be updated might refer to him as Harry (as Henry) or Harry (as Henry Harry).
He was great as Mr. Hand on “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” Bahahahahaha!
Maybe he was starting to lose his faculties in the late 1990s, but I saw him on the 2002 30th reunion special, and he seemed reasonably OK.
