Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows trailer

+1

Well, I kinda liked it, but didn’t really know what to make of it. It’s so hard to see what’s in the first film or the second, from that trailer, let alone see how far they’ve deviated from the book, which I’m fine with - they have to, really; what matters is that they make a good film while not deviating from the core story. That’s where the problems lie.

Yep - and it would be the kind of swearing that’s appropriate to show to any kid that’s old enough to see someone killed on-screen. If any film board says that saying the word bitch merits a higher rating than *killing *said bitch, then that is one fucked-up film board. But it has happened before!

That is exactly what the MPAA will do. :frowning:

I do wish they would stop calling Voldy “My Lord”, makes him sound like a High Court judge, though to be fair with his features, apparel and ideological outlook, Voldy won’t be out of place at the Royal Courts of Justice.

I think it looks like Ron is wearing one of Mrs. Weasley’s hand-knitted Christmas sweaters while killing that Horcrux.

This is the scene I’ve been most looking forward to seeing ever since reading the book. To see Molly Weasley move from being a pleasant, plump, somewhat harried motherly figure to a complete and utter badass … OH yeah!

it was in an interview with the screen writer. i’ll try to dig it up

to keep the ratings perhaps molly could yell “not my daughter, female dog!”

No, all Molly has to say to satistfy the ratings board is “Not my daughter, you rhymes-with-witch!”

Would it be satisfying enough if the word was partially drowned out by the sound of her wand going off, taking out said bitch?

I know it wouldn’t be AS satisfying. But would it be enough?

As long as we could see the fire in her eyes clearly, and read her lips!

Well, you can kill lots of people, but don’t dare say “bitch”.

according to:

DAVID HEYMAN: It’s funny, yes I think that’s true and the showdown will be…that poses its own challenges in terms of adaptation. Not only the expectation of that final showdown but also what I love about Jo’s work is that’s it’s emotionally rooted. And in the book, actually, Harry doesn’t do much fighting back. In fact, he’s…I’m not going to use the word but he has the ‘blank’ beaten out of him. I just said well, there’s more engagement in our version of the final battle.

he also mentions that the battle will be about 30 minutes. the quote is from an interview w/ collider last year.

They altered the image of Hermoine for the trailer so it didn’t show any blood on her hands.

I’m looking forward for Harry meeting Sirius, Luipn, and his parents as they help him walk out to meet Voldmort.

Should be very emotional.

Yeah, I saw that story on Yahoo. This guy has apparently not been paying attention to trailers the past 10 years. They never show blood anymore. Usually, they will darken it to black, to look like dirt or oil. There was one movie, I can’t remember what it was, but the gag in one scene was for a windshield to get covered in blood, then we find out it was cherry slushy. The trailer had the shot, but they changed the red to black.

Pineapple Express.

I wanna be this close to crying at this scene.

My expectations are way too high.

I know, but it’s actually pretty emotional in the 4th movie when they appear out of Voldemort’s wand. If it is even close to that, it’ll be great.

By the way, I think the same actor and actress have played Harry’s parents since the beginning, even though they only appear in moving photos in some of them.

Maybe, but it would be saying that it’s OK to see a human being killed, but not OK to hear them be called a bad name. That’s kinda fucked up.

We’ll see!

movie poster is out!
