I assumed it was the same scene as in the book that you mentioned. Any reason for it not to be?
I’m sure Harry’s encounter with Voldy begins in the Forbidden Forest.
yeah, i wondered about that as well. ron kills the locket, neville kills the snake.
first meet in forest, second meet in the hall of the school. looks like they changed that bit as well. tommy doesn’t touch harry in the book.
Is the scene where Riddle says, “Why do you live?” from the book?
Can you even “kill” a locket. The way Harry says “kill it” seemed to me at first that it could only apply to the Snake. But I guess I could also see him using it for the locket, for lack of a better word.
mahaloth, yes that is the scene in question. in the book tommy doesn’t touch harry at all.
psxer, in the book ron kills the locket, and neville the snake. it looks like they are changing that in the movie.

Wow, I need to watch it again. I thought he was killing the locket.
The locket has a fragment of Voldemort’s soul, so killing it is killing 1/8 of Voldemort.
I’m almost positive I read about how difficult it was for Emma Watson to kiss Daniel Radcliffe, which she had to do when the locket showed that image to Ron. She already talked about how difficult it had been to kiss Rupert Grint and she had to go kiss Dan Radcliffe not long after.

And the snake from before is Nagini, but it’s coming out of Bathilda Bagshot’s corpse I think.

Harry faced Voldemort on four occasions in book 7:
- In the “seven Potters” scene, fleeing from Privet Drive to the Burrow, Voldemort himself showed up to attempt to finish Harry off using Lucius Malfoy’s Wand
- In Godric’s Hollow, Voldemort himself attempted to kill Harry after his snake lured Harry into Bathilda Bagshot’s house
- In the Forbidden Forest, when Harry let himself get “killed” so the horcrux inside him would die
- The final battle inside Hogwarts

the scene of the final confrontation has been changed, from inside the Great Hall surrounded by all the combatants to outside with just the two of them
Hey everyone I know what happens in the book. I am tired as heck of everyone on the Internet (not just here) doubting my Harry Potter knowledge.
Maybe not. They could have just extended it a bit and made it a bit of a “pre-fight”
Or preface it with a little “Let’s Go To The Lobbbbby…” animation.
So I can load up on Junior Mints and Jujubees while they go camping for 20 minutes…
