‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Part 2’ Trailer Debuts
The look on Molly Weasley’s face as she throws a spell at Bellatrix Lestrange sends a shiver down my spine. I’m really looking forward to seeing this movie.
I’m not usually one to use hyperbole to make a point, but I think that is literally the most thrilling trailer I’ve ever seen in my life.
I didn’t even realize how much I apparently have emotionally invested in this story, it’s just great to see that they apparently nailed the ending.
In other words. Squeeee!
good because HPATDH was a yawn. was disappointed with feinnes because he didn’t seem to put much into his role. he wasn’t acting like voldemort. he was acting like himself (something like a twice-deranged amon goeth) i had the urge to side with him in the first part.
What the hell was with Harry grabbing Voldy and both of them falling off the bridge?
So which is it? Hyperbole or literal? Because that wasn’t a very thrilling trailer.
Hyperbole. I don’t normally use the world literally to describe subjective experiences. But yea it’s totally opinion. It was totally thrilling from my perspective since I completely expected them to screw it up and, as I mentioned, I have an emotional investment.
OK. You used both so I wasn’t sure.
I just assume a lot of those scenes between them are some sort of dream sequence. I could be wrong and they could have seriously extended their final battle into several more sequences, but I’m going with dream sequence until I see otherwise.
I did love how he called him Tom at that part though,it’s very personal and sort of an ultimate slap in the face to the guy who has gone to ultimate lengths to run from that identity.
they’ve changed the final battle with tommy boy. it is a good half hour now.
harry and tom wrestle/fight/fly around the school ending in the courtyard.
that scene is one of the wrestle/fly bits.
nagini’s end is a bit changed as well.
there was a preview in chicago about a month or so ago. the effects weren’t finished but those that saw it did think it was well done.
Nagini’s end is changed? Please tell me that who ultimately does the killing wasn’t part of that…Neville needs his moment.
Neville grew up to be hot. He at least has that.
I like how the article linked in the OP goes on at length at how excited they are that Snape is featured so much in this trailer, a sign that WB is focusing on his importance more. From what I saw, he was in about .7 seconds of the trailer.
neville has his moment. the location and timing has changed.
snape does have more in the movie. they have his prince’s tale, being headmaster, and death. his bit in the teaser where he swooshes into smoke is really nicely done.
I have read that Snape’s tale is expertly done. Some in the preview audience said it was the high mark for the entire film series. Oh…and Molly gets her famous line.
Good!
Good!
Good!
With these three VERY important things intact this movie is guaranteed to at least not be an abject failure.
Very good. He gets to be hot and kick ass. All the better.
at the chamber of secrets forum someone has screenshots of the trailer.
in one shot you see a wizard on broomstick (reported to be wood) riding over a battle on hogwart’s grounds. in the middle of the screen is a giant swinging a qwidich(sp) hoop.
may have to see this in imax to see all the details.
Wood! I loved Wood.
shots of the dragon tailor-made for 3D
theory is that wood leads a group of broom riding defenders into battle.
in a brief bit of the trailer you see him riding in and calling the others on into the battle below.
