It was much more than the working title. I own a very rare item- they ran One-Sheets for “The Revenge Of The Jedi” before the film was released. So, at the time of the teasers that were sent out to 20th Century Fox offices throughout the country, it was entitled “The Revenge Of The Jedi”.
The One-Sheet is in perfect, rolled condition. It was never folded. I always wondered what it would be worth on eBay.
That’s right–I saw one that unfortunately did not come into my possesion–couldn’t remember One-Sheet so I put promo instead…Value as a collectable depends more on volume of desire than rarity…I wonder how many people remember that change
I heard a rumour it’d be published on 7-7-07, but no idea if that’s true or not. And am I the only one who finds the title a little bit lame? Seems a wee bit overdone to me.
… and that book will be greatly revered until, twelve years hence, the Book of Larry Potter is discovered under an arch in an abandoned castle in the north of England. This new Apocrypha of Potter will throw the entire thing into chaos.
Untrue. Not only is it pure fannish speculation, as cmkeller said, but it would be the second anniversary of the London bombings, and I doubt that she’d choose a date with that kind of association.
Also, I think it’s too soon – the sixth book came out over a year after the title was announced, and for the seventh book to be edited and published in time for a summer release, it would pretty much have to be finished now.
