Are we even sure this is the title? Back in the eighties when the rage was Star Wars , word got out that the title of the much anticipated third movie of the original 3 would be REVENGE OF THE JEDI. Some promos came out with this on it–But, of course the movie hit the screens as RETURN OF THE JEDI. The explanation was that REVENGE had been the WORKING TITLE !!

It was much more than the working title. I own a very rare item- they ran One-Sheets for “The Revenge Of The Jedi” before the film was released. So, at the time of the teasers that were sent out to 20th Century Fox offices throughout the country, it was entitled “The Revenge Of The Jedi”.

The One-Sheet is in perfect, rolled condition. It was never folded. I always wondered what it would be worth on eBay.

That’s right–I saw one that unfortunately did not come into my possesion–couldn’t remember One-Sheet so I put promo instead…Value as a collectable depends more on volume of desire than rarity…I wonder how many people remember that change

Do a Google Image search of The Revenge of the Jedi, and you’ll have an idea.

I was under the impression that I had heard Summer of 2007. I’ll keep an eye out for corroboration.

Pure fan speculation. Certainly possible, but never put forth or suggested by anyone official.

Untrue. Not only is it pure fannish speculation, as cmkeller said, but it would be the second anniversary of the London bombings, and I doubt that she’d choose a date with that kind of association.

Also, I think it’s too soon – the sixth book came out over a year after the title was announced, and for the seventh book to be edited and published in time for a summer release, it would pretty much have to be finished now.
