I got pitted once, by “Johnny Hildo”, a few years back. He entitled it “Gytalf2000, Are you a serial killer waiting to happen?”, or something to that effect. Some of us had been discussing odd sexual fetishes, and I had contributed my own peculiar perversion – I enjoy seeing knockout scenes of attractive, scantily-clad females (movies, TV, comics, etc.), as long as the scene doesn’t look “realistic”, with blood, bruises, and such on the KOed damsel. He considered this rather unusual paraphilia to be a sign of a deranged, sociopathic serial killer. I actually thought it was rather funny getting pitted. Due to all the snappy banter in the thread, I wound up with a new supervillain, the Exclaimer, to KO my superheroines. Fun stuff!

A few Pit threads were started as a result of threads I started but none directed at me.
I know how you feel. But look at it this way…just because they don’t pit us, doesn’t mean they don’t sit there and hate us until their whole body quakes with rage.

There was however an exceedingly confused poster who once began a Pit thread wondering if it was proper of me to have argued with another doctor Doper seeing as that somehow violated professional courtesy, except that the doctor Doper wasn’t actually a physician and besides MDs are mean to each other all the time anyway.
So all I have is an asterisk on the Wall of Shame.
Only one that I’m aware of. I had a very misunderstood post about putting sex on hiatus for a while before my husband and I got married. I worded it poorly, it was understood poorly… anyway, there was a pit about that shrew of a woman who clearly hates her husband and he must be a pussywhipped sap and I use sex as a weapon, etc. I’m not that kind of person, but there were (are? hopefully not anymore…) people who thought that.
Surprisingly no. I’m sure it’s coming though. On the other hand, I wouldn’t START a pit thread about anyone just because they had an opinion.
I put “No, but I haven’t ever searched to see if anyone is that pissed at me.” Maybe I should go search the Pit, just in case …
