I checked and you were the only one who’s pitted me, and as pitting is a rite of passage if you want to be someone here I don’t mind too much. 
However I took the opportunity to reread that thread and I stand by what I originally said: your reasoning was inherently flawed (comparing being naked for practical reasons as being forced to have sex with someone 
) and clearly driven by deep seated personal bigotry (you obviously have an issue with the word homophobia ‘because you don’t fear homosexuals’, so I’ll use an alternative that you might find easier). Quite frankly I don’t know how you operate with the ongoing cognitive dissonance of working for a military that purports to fight for values like freedom and liberty that you clearly don’t actually personally believe in if you can be so cavalier in supporting things like segregation and discriminatory policies like DADT (whatever the rationale behind it). I work in government and know what it’s like to have to sometimes pursue goals that I don’t personally think are the right ones, but I’m not required to actually believe in them nor do I pretend to. Apologies if this seems unnecessarily harsh, but it gets up my nose how you seem to think that being a conservative gives you some kind of moral righteousness when this is how your morality is actually implemented. Moreover this unpleasant characteristic seems to run through the modern American political system to the detriment of anyone that is not considered acceptable by it, but again you seem fine with that (I mean hey, it’s not affecting you, right?).

Whatever the incident was, you didn’t get an official warning, with which we send a PM to make sure you’re aware of it. Being told to knock it off or suchlike doesn’t get recorded anywhere and isn’t considered an actual warning.
Yeah, and so far, apparently just this once. I still don’t know why the OP requested the thread to be locked before I ran into it (I only vanity search the Pit every few months or so).
I can’t find it now, but back a few years ago I started a thread about a coworker where a couple of Dopers (don’t ask me who, I honestly don’t recall) somehow turned the pitting toward me instead of the coworker. I never bothered answering them. Eventually the thread died.
I guess I am another one of those innocuous or boring posters. No pit threads with my name in the title. The only thread ever started about me was this one, which was fun for me to re-read.
No Pit threads started about me. And I don’t understand that at all, because all of you suck.
Not that I know of. I have had my weenie whacked by a mod once or twice over the years, however.
One pit thread when I first started here. It had the coolest title -

I’ve been pitted a couple times by name, both times by the same member. Interestingly, in the ensuing years, his posts have become a great pleasure to me and I look forward to his contributions to a thread.
I’ve participated in any number of pit threads that were not originally about me, but in which I generated enough hostility to eventually be the one taking most of the fire.
The Pit is still fun, but I kind of miss the old days when one could go into a transcendant state of venom-spewing madness with “troll” being virtually the only epithet off limits.
My name is used in vain a couple times in a sort of Big Brother context. But only once has anyone really addressed me personlly in the Pit, to call me an asshole.
Oh well.
I have had a couple that turned in my direction, but never to my knowledge one started solely to berate me.
Once that I recall. The details are fuzzy, but a long time ago I was posting in one of the perennial* “Can Machines Think?” threads in Great Debates and some new poster who knew nothing about the subject got pissy when I pointed that out. So he started a pit thread to express his sense of butthurtness, but it was a disappointing effort. I didn’t bother to reply because so many people were already pointing out how pathetically wrong he was.
*Actually, we haven’t had one of those for a while since GD became so political, so maybe it was biennial.
That probably is the one you’re thinking of and misremembered it (or maybe somebody else pitted you). I’ve never pitted you. I actually rarely pit other Dopers.
