Just the once, because apparently I’m a racist. I think of myself as an innocuous poster, too (I could be wrong, of course).
Only once - when I first bought my house I had a thread about how I was suspicious of the diagonal neighbors, which my painter thought were drug dealers. Dio pitted me, actually, and I got called all sorts of racist, which was hilarious since I hadn’t actually specified the race of my neighbors. (I think those particular relations of the homeowner have left, by the way. Whoevers friends announce themselves with their car horns still live there, though.)
Just one. I started a thread about abolishing MLK day and pointed out MLK’s flaws. Ended up being pitted even though Cecil has a column about King plagiarizing and womanizing.

Oddly enough, I have never been directly Pitted. I think that there was a time or two where someone generically Pitted a group of us who took a certain opinion in a thread or something and I was one of the people but I don’t think that that counts.
I didn’t pit you, nor did I call you a racist.
I answered “multiple,” but only on a technicality.
I’ve had one REAL pitting, one joke pitting and one…faux pitting, I guess I’d call it ( a poster pitting someone else via sarcastically pitting me ). I think that’s it.
Forgot a couple - there was also one where fans of “Jackass” took exception to my trashing of their choice of entertainment, and another where an uptight citizen of the Great White North showed his total lack of a sense of humor.

I got Pitted once by even sven, of course. It was one of the most bizarre of all Pit threads that I can remember. Seriously, it ended up completely different from how it started.
23 times with the name “Diogenes” in the title, but I think there are other thread titles with iterations like “DTC” and “Dio” which aren’t searchable.
As far as I know, no thread has been started that was just about me, but I have been pitted as the worst person in a group of whiners.
I debated, but I went ahead and counted it.
I think it only counts if you are specifically named in the OP.
Pit threads can be cute. At least one “let’s not use names but we know who we are talking about”. On the other hand maybe that’s all in my imagination. Might be another one somewhere by a person on the ignore list, but again my imagination is pretty active.
“Other”–usually, I’ve opened Pit threads about others that have quickly turned into “You suck, PRR” pittings almost instantly. So I’ve been on the receiving end many and many a time, but I can’t remember if anyone actually opened a Pit thread about me.
Sorry, but if thats the one I started, it was a non-specific group pitting. Your name was just used as an example.
If you try and claim that one, then we will have to take it to the Pit.
Fine with me, even if I deserved it. I liked being able to brag about not ever being pitted.

Whoa. I’ve never been pitted, but apparently I had an ATMB thread and a mod warning five months ago and I didn’t even know it. I guess I AM an asshole enough to be noticed! 
Nope, and don’t think I ever would be. I don’t post enough to be noticed, and I never post anything that I wouldn’t be prepared to say to someone in a group of people IRL. I don’t like to make assumptions about people when they’ve posted about a problem, so I tend to ask questions rather than make statements about somebody else’s character. Apart from that, I just don’t tend to participate in heated threads.
No. I’m neither offensive nor prolific enough to warrant a pitting. Hell, I rarely even comment in the Pit!
