Has Any Serios Research Been Done On "Color Therapy"

The idea that humans respond differently to light of different colors/wavelength is an old one.
Unfortunately, this has been an area mostly reserved for quacks and frauds-Martin Gardner related the story of “Colonel” Dinshah Ghadiali -who had some bogus therapy in the early 1930’s.
Has anyone done some serious research on this, and what were the results?

The results of Serios research have generally been pretty negative. I do not know about color therapy, but I would be surprised if it were much better.

I would almost assume that no one’s taken it seriously enough to research it, but I don’t really know how it’s viewed. Could be the most effective or most ridiculed therapy in the world for all I know.

Ah crap, ignore that post, I thought it was a typo of “serious”.

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for (it is not true “color therapy”), but there have been many studies on how color can effect mood, performance, and decision making. For example, here is an article that summarizes a few studies concernng the color red: Seeing Red: Tweak Your Brain With Colors | WIRED A common theme is that the effect of the color is based on culture and that the effects do not last long.
