A friend of mine is thinking of converting to Judaism. He has been in a serious relationship with Jewish SO for four years. His girlfriends family is fairly religious and doesn’t deal well with her seeing a non-Jew.
Do you know what the process entails?
Is it difficult?
How much time does it take?

Reform is the “easiest” way to go and it will take you at least a year. You have to take an Into to Judaism course at the local temple and have several meetings with the Rabbi. Since your friend has a Jewish SO, they will probably encourage the SO to also take the class and attend some of the Rabbi meetings.
