You know when you fly you have that Sky Mall Magazine, that has all sorts of things, you probably don’t need, but seem cool, because you’re on a jet and realize you could crash and die so why NOT treat yourself?
First of all is that on every plane. I usually fly American and Southwest, so I’m not sure.
Second has anyone actually ordered anything from them? If so what is your opinion of it.
Website for Skymall
I haven’t ordered from Sky Mall, but I have ordered from Herrington and Hammacher-Schlemmer. I think they usually have products in Sky Mall. Good quality merchandise.
This is what I am dying to order for my daughter’s wedding gift (I know she wants it) but I’m afraid I’d keep it for myself…
Never, but I’ve been tempted to. I think if I appease the Corporate gods with an offering of cash, my plane won’t crash.
As a kid (from the ages of 7 to about 13), I used to fly alone on British Airways all the time. Mostly 8+ hour intercontinental flights.
Bought much stuff from the in-flight shop, mostly due to boredom. That, and because my parents would give me a big wad of cash in case of emergency (having to buy another plane ticket, get a hotel room, etc.)
That stuff was always actually on the plane, though. AFAICT, SkyMall is more or less like mail order.
I’d have to keep that for myself, too.
I don’t fly often, but I have looked at the Skymall catalogue. It’s reading material, it’s in front of me, so OF COURSE it will be read, even though I have a couple of paperbacks in my purse. I giggle to myself, because I generally know where I can get the same thing for about half of the price quoted in the catalogue.
