I’ve tried ephedrine supplements (like Stacker 2) with some success, but I’ve stopped using them because of the health risks and the constant jitters. I’ve heard that Dexatrim and Zantrex 3 are supposed to be pretty good. Has anyone here had any success losing weight using dietary supplements? If so, which supplements were they?
Honestly, weight-loss supplements aren’t the best way to go about losing weight. You may get a quick fix, but for most people, that fix doesn’t last. One of the biggest problems with the dietary supplements comes after you lose the weight and stop taking the pills. What then? It’s just like crash diets - most people go back to their old way of eating and living and put the weight back on. Weight-loss pills do work for some people (usually because they incorporate lifestyle changes with the pills), but for the majority of people, they aren’t successful in the long term.
A healthy diet and regular exercise will not only produce weight loss results, but will also result in a MUCH healthier and more attractive body. I’d suggest you talk to your doctor about what would be the best diet and exercise for your body-type and go from there; I’d be willing to bet you will not only see better results, but that they’ll actually last because you’ve made a lifestyle change and lost the weight healthily.

Well, I will say that Xenedrine EFX has helped me to lose weight, but it certainly didn’t do it alone. It just helped me to get started with the right habits. I took it for a while so that I wasn’t really hungry all the time, but I still ate reasonable portions of healthy food very regularly. Once my body had calmed down and I had gotten myself in to better habits, I quit taking the pills.
This, I think, is the only way that they’ll help you keep weight off. You can use them to eat practically nothing, which will destroy both fat and muscle, and you’ll gain weight as soon as you stop, or you can use them as a tool to change your habits, in which case your new habits will cause you to lose weight in a healthy fashion.
