Has it ever snowed in Siberia in July?

For that matter, has it ever snowed anywhere in July?

My knucklehead betting buddy and I just found this wonderful, hilarious community.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I have been snowed on in Switzerland in 1st week of August. Not that uncommon in mountainous areas.

I’ve seen it snow in every month when we lived in Wyoming.

I would think snow in July would be common in the Southern Hemisphere.

I has snowed in Banff in almost every month. Not while I was there, but people I know who lived there longer insist that it happens.

I’ve been snowed on in July in New Mexico.

As phrased,

rather immediately conjures up southern-hemisphere answers though. I suspect it snows pretty heavily in Patagonia during every July, that being midwinter down there.

Last summer we got a scattering up on the Icefields Parkway. In August. And then got sunburnt twentyfour hours later in Canmore. :S

We had snow on July 31st one time when we drove from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon towards Jacob Lake. This was about 8000 feet of altitude.

Given that Siberia is much further north than the Grand Canyon, is the coldest region in the northern hemisphere, and has elevations as high as 6200 feet, I have no doubt that it’s snowed there in July. Given that summer in the Polar Ural region of siberia is not considered to have begun until mid July, I’d say you can bet on it.
