Hasn’t been on in a while… anyone know what’s up with that?
ah! Q101 in Chicago if it helps!
Must be just your local station. Loveline’s website is current and lists upcoming guests. This fan site lists the stations they’re on, and it was most recently updated just a couple days ago.
Well, the Q101 website not only says they still run the show, but it also says Loveline’s on the air at this moment. You sure you’ve got the radio tuned to the right chennel, PA? :dubious:
Are they on any DC stations? Since WHFS went off the air, I haven’t heard a peep out of 'em.
(Yes, there’s some surviving version of WHFS on some Baltimore station, but not where my radio can pick them up.)
They are on WJFK (106.7 FM) weeknights from 11pm to 1am.
Thanks!
Looks like it’s gone in chicago for now.
Anyone been able to find an online feed of Loveline or a Podcast?
This site lists some radio station web sites that stream the show.
I listen to it on the live web feed from 91X out of San Diego because even though a local station here carries it, it’s on a one-day delay while 91X carries it live. I hate it when someone is plugging something on TV “tomorrow night”, which is too late by the time I hear the show locally. (Plus, I absolutely hate morning radio, I record it and play it on my MP3 player during my drive to work.) AFAIK, 91X is the only station that streams it on the web live, all of the other streams are on the one-day delay. The downside is that the show doesn’t start 'til 1 am if you’re on the east coast.
Thanks for finding that. Searches turned up nothing, and the Q101 site wasn’t really helpful either. I don’t this this was a good alignment. What ever makes their pockets fatter, I guess.
If you have Usenet access, you can download commercial free Loveline eps from alt.binaries.great (as well as other radio shows), usually the day after they air.
Thanks for the tips guys. I need to see about getting a copy of the show for my Ipod every day or so.
I did a search for alt.binaries.great in Google and nothing turned up. How else can I access this?
I don’t think Google provides the alt.binaries.* groups. You’ll need access to an NNTP server, and possibly a downloading program like NewsBin (though you should be able to use any free newsreader… Free Agent, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.). Your ISP might provide an NNTP server–Comcast customers get 1 GB of downloads a month for free from GigaNews–or you can subscribe somewhere like GigaNews or nntpservers.com. The latter will give you 250 MB of downloads per day for $4.95/month.
