I just saw Michael Moore’s website for the first time after the election. Has he lost his mind? The United States of Canada and Jesusland? What is wrong with this guy?
If he has, several others have as well- that image is making the web rounds quite effectively.
I also think it’s satire more than anything else.
I’m not sure we’d keep the “United States” bit.

What edge was Michael Moore on? Unless you mean that his very loud and liberal views call his sanity into question, which I don’t think they do.
Not that it’s surprising, but Moore is using a stolen image. Apparently, he cropped or painted over G Webb’s notice: “Newspapers stop ripping this off”. Of course, we might expect Moore to argue that he is not a newspaper and that therefore he may rip off as he pleases.
Oh, no! Not Michael Moore! But he is our shining paragon of truth! Why, if he is discredited, our entire argument falls to dust, because he embodies everything we hold dear, the entire framework of liberal agenda will come unglued if someone should prove him unreliable! God, what next! Will Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog be unmasked on Hannity and His Bitch? John Stewart revealed to be a liberal Jew? Woe! Woe! We are undone!

Considering that the link you give explicity asks people to “Please copy, don’t link” and it is a fact that Michael Moore is not running a newspaper, then it is clear that he is using it as the G Webb intended and gave permission. Don’t be so mendacious. It doesn’t become you.
I must have missed the memo where Michael Moore was exempt from sharing jokes, humorous images, and whatever things tickle his fancy on his web site.

Somehow, I doubt the sincerity of your implication of concern over my becomeness. At any rate, it appears to me that the owner is asking news sources not to link OR steal, but rather to make their own copies, put them on their own servers, and credit him — unless you have some insider information that Mr. Webb is operating outside the ordinary practices of creative artists all around the world.
So, if it tickled his fancy to copy and use the Straight Dope logo, it wouldn’t bother you? I bet it’d bother the Chicagor Reader.

The Religious Right says they deserve the credit for this win. Moore is just concurring.
No, no, of course he’s assembled specific evidence that Moore doesn’t have permission before making this accusation. He’s quite careful not to bear false witness against his neighbor, and would never endanger his integrity by making an accusation before being damn sure he’s got his ducks in a row. He’s reliable like that :).

Interesting. It wouldn’t be the first time Michael Moore has manipulated/fabricated pictures for his own motives, following in the footsteps of various Nazi-propagandists.
I’m unclear whether or not this Webb guy expects credit for the graphic. I would think that he would, but I don’t know. (The fact that he’s put his name on the original graphic might indicate that he would like credit—but I don’t know.)
I think it would have been better had Moore credited him. It seems a little odd that he did not.
