A few minutes ago, I got a message saying:
Not Found
The requested URL /sdmb/ was not found on this server.
I mentioned this on another board, and someone posted to say that the message he got was that a database upgrade was being carried out.
Was it, and, if so, what was being upgraded?
That’s the message I got as well. The board & search function seems faster, but that might be a coincidence.
Yes, I agree: it does seem lightning fast at the moment.
No. What happens is that the system crashes and pulls down the site. That’s when you get the “requested url was not found” message.
Whatever tasks the system had before it are wiped out when the system automatically resets and the site comes back up. Since it has no burdens to speak of, it’s very very fast.
And it lasts for a little while until it gets bogged down again with requests and the system crashes and takes down the site. And then it resets.
Is that the same as when the dope sometimes loads instantly, but with a blank white page and ‘done’ in the browser’s status bar?
