I mean, damn. Everytime I play it in my car I have to hit “repeat” and listen to it at least one more time. It gets my blood pumping more than any song I’ve heard in the last five years. (For the record, I just bought the Crue’s “Dr. Feelgood” album, and had never heard this song before now.)

I never really thought of AC/DC as headbanging music. Most of their songs have really slow tempos, and they are more ‘hard rock’ than ‘heavy metal’.
I’d say just about any pre-90s Metallica song is better head-banging music than Motley Crue. ‘Kickstart my Heart’ is one of Crue’s heavier songs in my opinion, but it’s still ruined by Vince Neil’s high-pitched squealing of ‘Ooh! Yeah!’

Drifter by Iron Maiden always comes to mind for me (particularly if you see the footage of the band playing it in the early days with a bunch of fans banging their heads in unison - a beautiful thing 
). Judas Priest’s camp classic Living After Midnight is another from the same era.
I agree that Kickstart My Heart is one of the greats. Whiplash is a bit too fast for me to keep my headbanging in time with, and anything by Motorhead, particularly the thread favourite Ace of Spades and also Overkill (which I was just spinning this morning).
Hmm - I meant to say that the Motorhead songs are great for headbanging, not that they’re too fast …
