Has there ever been a convicted murderer more heinous than Joseph Edward Duncan III?

I remember reading an article about the hi-fi murders. I didn’t expect the acts to be described in such detail. Had a somewhat visceral reaction to it and it took me a long time to get over it. I don’t remember the names of the killers and I don’t feel like Googling them to find out.

Photos of serial killers in custody are often striking for the contrast between the expressions of law enforcement/jail officers compared to the perpetrator.

The former generally look stone-faced or grim. Serial killers often are smiling or appear at ease.

Example: Richard Ramirez.

The Wichita Massacre ranks right up there in brutality. My BFF worked with a woman who sent her kids to the school where one of the victims taught, and had another connection to them that I can’t recall right now, although he didn’t know any of them directly.

At the time, he was working at a Walgreens in a mostly black, lower-income neighborhood, and he had customers by the dozens saying things like “I never believed in the death penalty until I heard about this” or “If I got my hands on them…” Of course, white supremacists have run with this because they believe that the reason it wasn’t plastered all over the media was because the perps were black and the victims were white.

Read at your own risk.

I had always wondered what case the Law & Order: Criminal Intent Season 3 episode 20 “D.A.W.” was based on.

Thanks!

Good riddance.

And a very appropriate user name!
