Hated Shows in your Favorite Series

Sure, the last ep of Quantum Leap sucked, but not nearly as bad as that Lee Harvey Oswald episode.

Sorry but for me, ST: TOS’s “TURNABOUT INTRUDER” makes “SPOCK’S BRAIN” seem like Shakespeare. It’s the only episode I refuse to watch in the whole DVD set (I was one of the chumps who bought them the 40 volume way!)

Seeing Shatner act like a crazed woman makes me nauseous. What a horrible way to end a series.

Folks, it would really help if you included a short plot summary instead of just the title. Some of us don’t go memorizing the entire specifics of an episode down to the dolly drip and have no idea what you’re taking about when you say “Home. 'Nuff said.”

I’m glad someone else thinks that the worst Star Trek (The Original Series) episode was NOT “Spock’s Brain”. I agree that “Turnabout Intruder” was far worse than “Spock’s Brain”, but I think the episode that really “takes the cake” is “Plato’s Stepchildren”. For those who are not aware of this episode, it is the one where all these latter-day Roman types have telekinetic powers and start forcing the Enterprise crew to do all sorts of things. I’d expalin more but the episode sucks. It’s the worst.

Home is the episode with the horribly disfigured, incestual family, the peacocks, who think mating with outsiders is icky, so they all **** their mother.

The last four episodes of Angel, Season 2: Belonging, Over the Rainbow, Through the Looking Glass and There’s No Place Like Plrtz Glrb.

Season 2 was, in my opinion, the best season for the show. It was going great up until they decided to give some backstory to Lorne. The world was silly; the effects were so much more campier than usual (especially Angel in his inner-AngelBeast get-up) that they were, well… pretty bad; and the plot was just stupid. The season had been so dark and interesting it was a shame to see them end it on such fluff.

Except for the final moment of There’s No Place Like Plrtz Glrb. It was pretty rough to see Willow waiting for Angel to pass along the news of Buffy’s death.

Oh, and I do admit that Fred turned out much better than I ever expected. So, that was a bonus at least.

I think you’re thinking of another episode where they find a planet of clones and a planet of Irish stereotypes.

C’mon, that one made TV history. It’s the episode with television’s very first interracial kiss. Though Spock forced to act as a court jester was extremely painful to watch.

I also must say that I enjoy Beer Bad when I happen to see it. I particularly enjoy the summation:

Xander: “Well, I hope we’ve all learned a lesson. Beer is…”
Buffy (still somewhat cavewomanish): “Foamy!
Xander: “As long as that’s clear.”

Beer Bad was a great (well, funny… well, somewhat amusing) episode. In karate class the other day my three year-old thumped her chest and yelled “Foamy!”… I guess she got that confused with the “Hai!” yell and all that.

My least-favorite Buffy episode is the one where she thinks that she’s really in an institution and is dreaming all of the Scooby stuff. Sure there are worse episodes, but one that calls into question the series’ entire premise gets my vote as “Worst of the Best.”

The recent Alias with the vampires. I mean, vampires are great and all, but WTF?

I’m seeing Quantum Leap on DVD since I never watched it when it was on TV, and there’s a second season ep. called “A Portrait for Troian” which is absolutely ridiculous. Dumb story and lousy guest actors.

The follies of nepotism.

Profit and Lace, I believe. Never seen it myself and have no real desire to.

Another vote for a Star Tek episode worse than “Spock’s Brain” -
How about The Empath ?

That was a Gem of a show. :stuck_out_tongue:

 <----- me.

Dooku, you gotta be careful with that stuff. It’s been about five years since I watched TNG, but now I’m all furious again. I need to go have a beer and calm down.

Oh, and to answer the OP: Do you guys ever watch **Law & Order ** (TOS)? I love that show … except that one episode where they weren’t investigating a case or anything, they were just all reacting to the fact that the death penalty was being reinstated in New York. Lenny started drinking again, and I think maybe Claire got killed? Anyway, I didn’t actually watch the whole thing because I got sick of it and stomped off, but IIRC it totally sucked.

Release your anger!! Let the hate FLOW through you!!

Thereby proving that I am in no way no how a “fanboy”.

I think you forgot “Wesley drops out of the Acadamy, does something forgettable with a planet of Native Americans, meets the Travelor (again), and goes off with him to that other plane of existance.”

All fine choices so far, ( except for Buffy “Beer Bad” and the last 4 episodes of Angel season 2, all of which I enjoyed) but for real suckitude you have to consider the Animaniacs’ finale “Wakko’s Wish.”

(sorry about the coding).

Man, did that suck. It had no life, no energy, and not a whit of wit.
