It kinda sounds like you two are growing apart, as young adults often do. I remember when I was 20 or so, I had a friend who was too busy to see me for a while, and when she finally did show up, I was sullen and uncommunicative because I was hurt by her being too busy for me. Ah, immaturity.

My point (and I do have one) is that this is not uncommon for people of your age to find their friendships getting…fluid. Heck, it’s not uncommon at ANY age; we’re just more used to it as we get older. And your friend was a dick for not telling you when the mutual plans changed. Don’t write him out of your life or anything, but don’t forget it, either.
