Have All The Beatles' Kids Met?

Just wondered.

I took a look at some websites last night, and saw that although most of the boys are musically inclined, 2 of them (Julian and James) are recluses of a sort.

When I said “most” of the boys, I meant that although Jason Starkey started out drumming, I think he left it to his brother Zak to follow in Dad’s footsteps.

Can anyone add any other information?

Thanks

Met what? Each other? Expectations? The Maharishi?

Jesus.

Yes, met each other.

Have you and I met?

I would have thought “each other” would be understood?

Guess not, huh?

Well, the legitimate kids have likely met…but, given that we’re discussing Rock Stars…there could be more than a few “undiscovered talents” out there.

Probably the same could be said for The King. Baaaayyyybeee!

I don’t recall ever having read of some big get-together of all of the Beatles’ kids. But over the years, at various music-industry occasions, anniversaries and (sad to say) funerals, I wouldn’t be surprised if most have met each other.

Isn’t Paul McCartney’s youngest daughter three? I guess it’s possible that she’s already met all the others, but it doesn’t seem particularly likely.

Well, that’s what I thought at first, too, but then your OP went into the various musical aptitudes of the insectile offspring and I wondered if maybe I’d misunderstood the question.

You lookin’ for some kind of “Beatles: The Next Generation” kinda thing happening?

Pfft. OP was crystal clear to me.

Me too.

I too would be interested in knowing if all the kids have ever met each other - I have to assume Julian and Sean Lennon have had at least some contact over the years…but regarding the rest - good question.

And let’s be honest, if someone hasn’t thought of it, the idea for the kids to get together and do a few songs - well, sounds like at least a genetic reason to form a group…I would be interested in hearing what they s
would create together.

George’s son Dhani played and sang at his memorial concert. I was struck by how much he looked like George and how talented he was.

So George has Dhani, Ringo has Jason and Zak, John has Julian and Sean - any of Paul’s kids have musical talent?

Just dawned on me that I have a friend who is a Beatles fanatic, and expert on all things Beatles - if anybody would know, she would. I will email her tonight to find out what she knows and get back to this thread, should she know more.

From what I gather, they have, of course-but Julian has a LOT of issues with Yoko, that have carried over to Sean.

Paul’s son James has played guitar on some of his father’s work, notably “Flaming Pie”, and he also contributed to Linda MCartney’s “Wide Prairie” cd.

On google images I found several shots of Dhani Harrison with Sean and Julian Lennon (not at the same time). One of Sean and Dhani is positively eerie, they look so much like their fathers.

You want eerie, look at Julian-he not only looks exactly like John (even more so than Sean, who has some of Yoko in him), but he SOUNDS just like him too.

James McCartney and Jason Starkey are eerie likenesses of their fathers, as well.

She just wrote me back and said she knows for sure that Julian and Sean have met several times but is unsure about the others - however, she is posting in her Beatles Board (?!?!) and says one of the members should know for sure - she will get back to me, and I will forward her info to this thread.

I looked up Dhani Harrison on wikipedia and it says that his band has some music up on its website. I checked it out and there is. There’s a music video under the Visual section. He really does look like his dad in the parts where he’s in the suit.
Under the music section they’re all clips except the one called “People”. That one’s interesting. It reminds me a little of Massive Attack.

A couple of the kids (James and Julian, from what I read) have some issues with “who” they are, or maybe whose “offspring” they are, and are very private people.

Not saying anything’s wrong with that, but one has to wonder if they have thought in terms of forming a group, and what their thinking is on the matter.

As far as musicianship, I believe Zak and Dhani have the talents passed on to them by their fathers. Julian sounds like his father in voice, and I will need to hear more of James’ work before offering an opinion.

Is there a new Lennon-McCartney/Beatles incarnation in the works? I guess that will be up to them, because it’s not like there has to be, but yes, I sure would be interested in them at least trying it out.

As for the other kids, why the hell not? Why should it be only the first-born and the males who got those creative genes.

I’m wide open and would like to read more about this.

I think the original Beatles’ music has been “tweaked” about as much as it can be, and I would like to see what the kids have to offer.

Thanks
