I’ve published articles in several technical journals. Even got paid for a couple of them.
I was vaguely famous when I was younger. I had a role in a children’s television programme as the hearing counterpart to the deaf character. I’ve done quite a few videos for deaf people too, usually playing the hearing kid of the deaf parents. I get recognised by deaf people all the time. I got the role because my deaf mother was a semi-famous actress/director. It’s not like I have talent or anything 
My column is read by over 50,000 people each week. Does that count?
I’m famous? Then how come when I go out, I’m not continuously attacked by mobs of adoring teenage girls!? Being famous ain’t all it cracked up to be. Whadda gyp.

I’m on TV a lot, as a habitual volunteer for Public Television pledge drives. I’ve got one later today, in fact.
I know that isn’t very famous, but I’ve actually been recognized on the street several times.
I’m sorry to be the one to throw the icy cold water of reality onto the discussion but if someone famous was a registered user here I’m sure they wouldn’t reveal their identity. Consider that this message board is the discussion area for people who enjoy seperating fact from fiction … if someone of celebrity posted here who wouldn’t be skeptical?

Well, thanks to you both. I wouldn’t say I am famous, though I’m trying. Someday, I hope to have the words “Media Whore” permanently affixed after my name.
