I always viewed Skalds threads as sort of, I don’t know, old peoples threads. Like you see a bunch of old people at a party and they are trying far too hard to say something witty. If Skald was at a party he would be sitting with a glass of port and relating some terribly witty bon mot, there would be a circle of other old people sitting around him and when he was done they would all laugh uproariously and clap him on the back.
They would all be having a great time and you could never, ever explain to them that the story was just lame.
Skalds torturous polls are like that. He tries far too hard and they are just lame.
