Have the standards of manhood today gone to the dogs?

Well, I think then that you make more out of Breaking Bad than it really was. It was just, at its base, a fun showing of what would happen if a naive middle aged dude got involved in the drug trade. It’s a stupid fictional show. No more, no less culturally or historically relevant than My Little Pony or Dragnet or the Jack Benny Show or whatever those young hipster hoodlums are into these days. Breaking Bad was just a fucking television show.

Are you Vince Gilligan? Are you a Whitehead? Are you fetishizing a fictional television series for your own sexual gratification? Is this whole three-page macho schpiel some roundabout cover of legitimizing your obsessive sexual fetishism of Walter White, your own dick and 70’s men’s magazines to a bunch of strangers who really don’t give much of a fuck who you smack little Jimmy behind the head to?

Huh, from your OP, I didn’t figure you’d think a philosophical treatise on the superiority of hot man-love would be some sort of exemplar of studyworthiness. Aah, well, whatever does it for you, Jack…

I didn’t bring it up, someone else here compared MLP to Breaking Bad, but couldn’t find any critics who agreed.

I’m pretty sure the woman who created the show was just trying to create a fun show for kids anyway and never intended for some ‘subculture’ to develop on 4chan dedicated to analyzing it that deeply either.

Yawn, stay with the program, I didn’t bring up Breaking Bad, it’s not even my favorite show, a little too dark and nihilistic.

Others here were arguing that MLP was comparable to Breaking Bad, I just said that’s pretty ridiculous and that no serious critics have argued that.

I’m not interested in your homoerotic fantasizes, though at least I hope they don’t involve ponies, or Ronald McDonald, or things of that nature.

Amazing how many schoolchildren can’t just own up to the fact that they enjoy a silly kid’s show, I happily admit I like Looney Tunes because watching Bugs clobber Elmer Fudd is funny, not because I’m undertaking some deep existentialist study into the hidden meaning behind “hey, what’s up Doc” or crap like that.

Back in my day, real men knew the difference! not like these pansy-wansy boy-children today who can’t even identify famous authors…

Don’t call other posters “faggots.”

This is a formal warning.

Bolding mine, This was the first mention of Breaking Bad. It’s only a comparison in the sense that both MLP and Breaking Bad are television shows, and that watching them indicates nothing about your life or habits, as far as I can see. Then YOU responded with MLP is no Breaking Bad. So the “comparison” was yours.

Real men don’t fold like this that quickly. Fucking pussy.

Except I never said that watching MLP makes you more likely to… molest horses or anything of that nature.

I just implied that a single adult male who spends his free time writing erotic fan-fiction about underage cartoon ponies, or who ‘identifies’ more with a quirky children’s show that he likes than any of his real life accomplishments or relationships, might be a tad lacking in manhood.

And yes, you could say the thing about overzealous ‘fans’ in general, whether MLP fans or Philadephila Eagles fans.

Hey, if you are going to reference MLP and body pillows, at least do it right!

Accidental double post.

I bet you get lots of pony poon don’t you Macho Man? Or are you more of a Curious George type of guy?

Do you ever find yourself commenting and arguing at length about things of such little consequence that people around you just get bored and start wandering off or praying for the quick release of death, and not their own?

Well that certainly does help make the atheist case for their being a lack of intelligent design in the universe.

If it was of little consequences to people then why did 4-5 different posters show up cherry picking that one little sentence about “Bronies” just to go off on rants about how ‘deep’ a show it really is and how Bronies are misunderstood or something? I doubt anyone who hasn’t heard of 4chan even knows that ‘Bronies’ exist to begin with.

All I can say is that if the core of a person’s ‘identity’ is based around a cartoon they watch, and they’re so fragile that they can’t bear the fact that most people aren’t going to think that watching a cartoon written for young girls is “manly” then they really need to do something meaningful with their life, instead of indulging in self-masturbatory fantasizes about how ‘persecuted and misunderstood’ Bronies are, like a hyperemotional ‘Goth kid’ just entering his freshmasn year of high school

Your mother doesn’t seem to mind giving up the pony poon. though she is more hairy like Curious George. So pick your trope.

yawn… sorry… wat?

Calico Jack, you’re in your 20s and I’m 71, yet I feel like you’ve been chasing me off your lawn.

Wow your taste is worse than I thought…

Yeah I get that a lot…

Regardless this thread isn’t about “Bronies” or “MLP”, some hypersenstive fans of the show just sidetracked it because they couldn’t bear the thought that people don’t think MLP is a “manly show”… but who does think that anyway?

That’s what your mother said.

Cool story bro
