I happened to catch the Today Show and they mentioned that www.hulu.com was just starting.
It is sort of a YouTube, but with only television shows (full length) and movies (also full length) that you can watch for free - well, there are some commercials…
I logged on for a few minutes and it looks promising. They don’t yet have a huge selection, but for a new site to offer some free programming to kill some time on your laptop, it doesn’t look bad.
I’ve been using this for a few weeks now, and like it a lot. It’s great to watch It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia without having cable, and I look forward to finally trying out Battlestar Galactica and revisiting She Spies, to see if it’s as decent as I remember.
This is so super cool. Thank you! I’m watching The Big Lebowski, one of my favorites.
Movies for free AND the SDMB at the same time. I may be in heaven.
Yup. Wankers. At least pandora had the foresight to say, Sorry, you can’t access any of this stuff. HULU lets you browse all of their content, as if to say, Ha ha, here’s what you could be watching if you lived in the US.
I don’t think so- Hulu is a joint venture between News Corp. and NBC Universal. I don’t see Lost- or any ABC/Disney show, for that matter- on their list. (If you search “Lost,” it gives you a link to go to ABC’s site. Is Hulu linking many non-Hulu legal sources for watching TV shows/movies?)
