I was shot deliberately with rock salt from a 12-gauge. Thankfully, it wasn’t a solid hit and I had only two or three fragments stuck in my thigh. I hardly felt the initial impact, but I definitely felt the sting of the salt.
Oh, and then there were the backyard 1-pump BB gun fights that inevitably escalated into 4-pump BB gun fights, which escalated from there until someone went home crying. But I don’t count those. Nothing ever broke my skin, although one of my friends managed to put a BB through the tip of his finger and another managed to lodge a BB in his foot.
